Greetings all —
We’re here, and have been distributing festival wristbands since noon. We’ll be here every day from Noon until around 11 p.m., so please try to get here during those hours, otherwise, you might not be able to get in that night!
Any questions: seth@nicodemusagency.com

The lottery for Iron and Wine tickets is officially closed. Emails received after noon today will not be considered for the drawing.
Thanks to the (literally) dozens of folks who emailed. We will do our best to let you know by Thursday if you’ve been selected.
Best,
Seth

Hey folks —
So, it’s looking like there may be a handful of tickets available to the Iron and Wine show for this coming Saturday. I still need to figure out the amount available and what not, but basically, we’ll be having a lottery for them. It’s the only fair way to do it. Here’s what to do:
Email: seth@nicodemusagency.com
Provide: Your name, address, email
You have 24 hours, starting at noon tomorrow, CST, Monday Sept. 14, 2009 — Tuesday Sept. 15, 2009.
Any emails received before or afterwards will not count. Please do not email more than once. You will be disqualified from the lottery for SPAMMING.
We’ll do a drawing and alert you if your name has been picked to purchase tickets. Please, though: if you aren’t selected, do not email me with angry words that make me feel badly. I am trying to make this as fair as possible, and I don’t want to feel worse than I already do about putting on a show in which hundreds of people are bummed that they can’t see. Part of the deal.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Best,
Seth Fein

Just 5 days out, and we are glad to let you in on a few tidbits of news:
First off, schedule changes. As you might surmise, there are some. Here they are as of right now:
Schedule changes:
1. Margot and The Nuclear So and So’s will be performing at Canopy Club at 12:10 PM, and Maserati will be at 11:10 PM. Essentially, their slots have swapped.
2. Solid Gold is no longer performing at the festival. The show they were performing at is now at Red Herring starting at 10:30 PM. Oceans is performing at 10:30 PM and Pet Lions at 11:30 PM.
3. Pet Lions and Oceans are now performing at Red Herring instead of Courtyard Cafe, as listed above.
4. Village is performing at 9:30 PM on Friday at Bentley’s, not 10:30 PM and at the same time as The Horns of Happiness.
5. Starfucker, Deelay Ceelay, and Butterfly Assassins will be performing at Courtyard Cafe instead of The Highdive. The show carries a $5 surcharge.
6. Brighton, MA, Lymbyc Systym, and The Daredevil Christopher Wright will be performing at Courtyard Cafe instead of The Highdive. The show carries a $5 surcharge.
Note: If you would like to learn about the $5 surcharge, we will be glad to tell you all about it. Email seth@nicodemusgency.com.
Here is the festival schedule.
Now, the festival map.
The thing about Pygmalion is this. It’s simple to traverse within the two different neighborhoods. The only real “walk” is from Krannert Art Museum to Krannert Center for the Performing Arts. And it’s about a 10 minute walk, tops. Aside from that, all of the other venues are literally within a minute or two of each other, in both neighborhoods.
To make things even easier, we’ve teamed up with MTD, our fine bus transit system here in C-U, so that you can easily get from one neighborhood to the next. There are a variety of buses that you may use, but all of them take you to the same place: Illinois Terminal. This is across the street from all of the venues in downtown Champaign. To get back to the Canopy district, check out their website — it’s easy to use, and really navigable.
Any questions, you know where to find me: seth@nicodemusagency.com

As we come down to the wire at Pygmalion Music Festival, the questions keep pouring in. Perhaps this addendum to the FAQ on the website will help shed some light on a few of the questions that some of you still might have:
Q: Can I buy tickets to the Low show?
A: Yes, you can. You will need to purchase them at the door starting at 6:00 p.m. on the night of the performance.
Q: Is the Ra Ra Riot shoe free?
A: Yes, it is. Just walk into Krannert Center and enjoy.
Q: Is the My Brightest Diamond / William Fitzsimmons show free?
A: Yes, it is. Just walk in Krannert ART Museum and enjoy.
Q: Are Krannert Art Museum and Krannert Center the same?
A: No, they are different.
Q: What’s up with the Starfucker show?
A: That show will remain at Courtyard Cafe. It will carry a $5 surcharge. Believe us, we aren’t happy about it either. Same thing with the early show on Saturday with The Darecevil Christopher Wright and Lymbyc Systym.
Q: Will you have commemorative posters?
A: Yes, we will. They will only cost $10. A very small amount. We think you will like them.
Q: How do I find out more about anything?
A: Email Seth — he is the founder and producer of the festival, and is glad to answer any of these questions. seth@nicodemusagency.com
Q: Isn’t Seth writing these questions? Why are you speaking in the third person?
A: My wife asks me the same thing.
Word.

Friends —
The Pygmalion Music Festival has SOLD OUT of its festival passes. We are extremely thrilled to announce this with over two weeks to go before the festival.
So, what does this mean?
It means that Iron and Wine is completely sold out. There is an off chance that on the day of the show, September 19, there may be a few that are released.
But more than anything it means that you can still buy tickets to see the other shows!
Every other show is STILL ON SALE. Seriously, you can still buy tickets by clicking these links to see all of these artists — aside from Iron and Wine / The Books.

Of all the hotels out there, none have proven more ubiquitous and consistently clean as the modern day Holiday Inn. And with commercials that are actually entertaining, too.
This year, they are offering a tremendous rate, and a free shuttle to and from the venues. If you want to reserve a room, call 217.328.7900 and ask for the Pygmalion Music Festival rate. Or, simply click on this link and you’ll be granted access to the rate immediately: http://tinyurl.com/pygreserve

Artist: Low
Performing: Friday — 9 p.m. — Channing-Murray Foundation
Instead of regaling you all with endless facts and praise about Low, a band that you either know about or feel ashamed that you don’t, we’re going to spend this little moment together talking about the reality of the situation regarding their Pygmalion show.
1. It’s in a really really small venue. The official capacity is so small that we won’t even write it down lest it scare people.
2. In order to attend this show, you will need to arrive fairly early. We would recommend showing up by 5:00 p.m. in order to ensure a place to stand.
3. There are three openers, all of whom come highly recommended: Good Night and Good Morning, Hathaways and You and Yourn. This is important to note because…
4. There will be no “ins and outs” aside from those having a smoke outside for a brief moment. Our door person will have an IQ of 193*, and that means his memory is impeccable.
5. Chances are, not everyone will get to see Low. We’re sorry for this, but we felt that it was important to honor the goal of presenting them in a venue that is consistent with their music. Thanks, and sorry, and thanks.
6. Please let us know if you have any questions: seth@nicodemusagency.com
7. Yes, you can buy tickets to this show at the door. But, seriously, you have to get there super early.
* Open to interpretation

Hey folks —
It’s worth noting that festival passes are just about sold out. There are a handful left at $65 and then after that, we’ll re-assess to determine if any more can be sold.
Passes are here: http://tinyurl.com/pygpass7
This isn’t a scheme to get you to buy up festival passes — they are legitimately going to be gone within the next two days, if not before.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Best,
Seth
